Q: Do I have to link my bank account to use the FinSiteful app? A: No, you do not. There are features you can use without linking accounts, such as the Pathways content. However, to access your daily plan and work towards building better financial habits, you will need to link an account.
Q: What do you do with my data?
A: Your data is used to help you and you alone. The system makes smart recommendations based on past behavior to help nudge you towards good habits.
Q:What do I do if I have a problem with the app?
A: Contact us! You can send us an email through the "Contact Us" or "Questions/Feedback" tabs in your profile. Explain what your problem is, and we'll get back to you shortly. We can even hop on the phone with you to walk you through whatever the problem is if you need.
Q: Is the FinSiteful App secure?
A: Your data is secure with us as we use bank-level encryption technology in the storage and transportation of all data. We never store your bank log-in credentials on our servers, in fact we don't even have access to them. We handle this by using the secure services offered by Plaid, Inc. who you can read about [here](https://plaid.com/security). In fact, we follow the guidelines outlined in the HECVAT which is a trusted guide for data security used by over 100+ colleges and universities including Brown, Duke, Princeton, and others.
Q: How do I edit my spending plan? A: Through the profile page.
Q: How can I have a fixed expense not subtract from my daily limit? A: You can select that transaction and change its transaction class to 'Fixed Expense'.
Q: Why don't my transactions appear immediately when they occur? A: That is because there may be some delay from your financial institution to update your recent transactions. Therefore, you can wait a little bit and then you should be all good to go.
Q: Why am I having trouble linking my bank account with Plaid? A: If you are having this problem, please reach out to us for help. Currently, Charles Schwab accounts are not supported by Plaid.
